Spotlight on Small Business

We believe small businesses are crucial to a community. Dr. Kokabi, Dr. Monell, and Dr. Roberts all grew up in small business families. Dr. K spent his teenage years working at his father's clothing store on Buford Highway. This was the inspiration for our Spotlight on Small Business initiative. Through this complementary program we seek to bring attention to our patients who own small businesses and do our best to help promote them. Please let us know if you own a small business or offer a service and would like to be featured in this program at no charge.

10-06-2026---BROOKHAVEN FAMILY DENTISTRY SPONSORING THE ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF ATLANTA GOLF TOURNAMENT

We were proud to sponsor the Assistance League of Atlanta’s ninth annual Charity Golf Tournament on October 5th at Bear’s Best in Suwanee. You may know this organization from Attic Treasures, their thrift shop right here in Chamblee. The Assistance League is an all-volunteer nonprofit with no paid staff. Its 300+ members help about 58,000 children and adults in metro Atlanta each year. Their programs provide new school clothes, weekend food for kids, books, comfort bears for children in crisis, and newborn supplies for mothers in need. The tournament also gives local police, firefighters, veterans and first responders a free day of golf as a thank-you for their service.

Supporting groups like this is a big part of who we are. Brookhaven Family Dentistry has served this community since 1969, and we’re happy to back neighbors who do so much for the families around us. Brookhaven Family Dentistry is proud to sponsor the 2026 Morning of Hope Gala benefiting St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. Morning of Hope celebrates the impact that can be made when local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and supporters come together to help neighbors across Georgia. St. Vincent de Paul Georgia provides critical assistance to families facing housing instability, food insecurity, health challenges, and financial hardship, helping people move from moments of crisis toward greater stability and independence.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization making such a meaningful difference throughout our state. In 2025 alone, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia helped prevent more than 10,000 evictions, distributed more than 3.3 million pounds of food, and filled more than 27,000 lifesaving prescriptions. Supporting Morning of Hope is another way Brookhaven Family Dentistry can continue investing in our community.

Brookhaven Family Dentistry is grateful to share that our Brighten Your Smile, Better the World campaign helped raise $1,000 for Blood Cancer United. Every donation reflects the generosity of our patients and our shared commitment to supporting people and families impacted by blood cancer. A big shout out to our friend Tracey Gram for helping make this partnership happen.

Through our Brighten Your Smile, Better the World campaign, Brookhaven Family Dentistry was proud to partner with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Georgia during the month of March. Thanks to the generosity of our patients, we were able to raise $1,300 to support their mission of helping individuals and families in need with essentials such as food, clothing, and other forms of assistance. We are incredibly grateful to our friend Geraldine Dew for helping make this happen and to make a positive impact in our community.
